Here are today’s notable transactions after the jump (once again, news from PFT)…

  • WR Donte Stallworth to DC – Stallworth has agreed to terms to join the Redskins next fall. More veterans for the Redskins! That’s especially what they need.
  • C David Baas goes to the Giants – Former Niner center Baas will go across the country to fill in a newly opened up Giants offensive line position. The Giants needed to add some youth up front: good move.
  • Atlanta holds on to LB Stephen Nicholas – The Falcons keep the 28-year old Nicholas to keep the linebacker spot more intact. Nicholas agreed to a five-year deal.
  • WR Santonio Holmes stays in the Big Apple – Holmes agrees on a five-year deal with a guaranteed $24 million in his return to Rex Ryan’s world. This surely means Braylon Edwards may be on his way out, and the Jets may consider… RANDY MOSS?!?!?
  • San Francisco and New York Jets are fighting for CB Nnamdi Asomugha – The services for elite cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha are being fought over by mainly two teams now: the Jets and the Niners. If he stays in the Bay Area, the Niners receive serious help at cornerback – a large position of need. If the Jets get him, then their defense will be even more ridiculous.
  • S Eric Weddle agrees to a big deal to keep him in San Diego – The Chargers offered a huge contract for a safety in Eric Weddle with a five-year, $40 million deal. Yikes. I can’t imagine what Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu will want.
  • RB DeAngelo Williams stays home with Carolina – DeAngelo Williams agrees to sign with the Panthers in perhaps the biggest signing of the day. There was speculation that Denver or Miami would try and pry him away, but Williams is staying put. Five years, $43 million.
  • G Robert Gallery follows his ex-head coach to Seattle – Gallery is signed by the Seahawks, where he will strengthen the offensive line and be coached by Tom Cable.
  • Houston opts to keep QB Matt Leinart – Although there was speculation Leinart would reunited with Pete Carroll in Seattle, he has decide to stay put in Houston.
  • K Olindo Mare cashes in with Carolina – In the most stunning move, the Panthers agree to pay Mare $12 million over four years to kick for them. Yeah, I don’t get it either.
  • Washington acquires a third WR, Jabar Gaffney, for DE Jeremy Jarmon – The Redskins get ANOTHER wide out for the relatively unproductive Jarmon. Gaffney was apparently going to be cut, so Denver luckily got something for him.
  • Cleveland releases QB Jake Delhomme – Oh no! Delhomme has been released! Who else can I watch go for interception hat tricks every Sunday?
  • Indianapolis re-signs K Adam Vinatieri, S Melvin Bullitt – The Colts keep possibly the most famous kicker in the NFL for another three years (through when he’s 41) and also retain a starting safety for another three years.
  • Cincinnati signs QB Bruce Gradkowski – The Bengals agree to sign former starter/back-up Gradkowski from Oakland, making it clearer they do not believe Carson Palmer will return.
  • Buffalo holds on CB Drayton Florence – Florence is the biggest free agent the Bills held on to, after Poslusnzny bounced. Florence agreed to a three years, $15 million.
  • Carolina keeps linebackers Thomas Davis, James Anderson – The Panthers are on quite the spending spree, locking up Anderson and Davis for five years a piece. Anderson had a standout season last year (despite the whole 2-14 record thing), and Davis, who has torn his ACL twice, is apparently in good shape.
  • The Nate Clements era is over in San Francisco – As the Niners try to sign the hottest corner commodity in the game, they let go of the 2007 hot cornerback commodity. Clements, who signed a huge deal coming to San Francisco in 2007, has been largely disappointing after his move west.
  • WR Sidney Rice moves to Seattle – Rice, who had a breakout season in 2009 with Brett Favre but missed a lot of last year (and did not produce well when he did), has decided to play for Seattle this year. The two sides have agreed to a five-year contract. Rice will be reunited with his former quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.
  • QB Matt Hasselbeck on way to Tennessee – Hasselbeck has found a new home, all the way in Nashville. He will be a good mentor for newly drafted quarterback Jake Locker, and will be a nice bridge between regimes.
  • Kansas City coach Todd Haley and WR Steve Breaston reunite – Haley has recruited his former #3 receiver in Arizona to come play for him. Breaston can be a solid complement to Dwayne Bowe, as well as allow rookie Jonathan Baldwin to get open.
  • McNabb to Minnesota is DONE – Check out Adam Schefter’s Twitter post. Done deal.
  • Miami and New Orleans agree on RB Reggie Bush trade – Per Jay Glazer, the two sides have agreed to send Bush to South Beach pending 1) Bush agreeing to a new contract with Miami and 2) he does not agree to take a pay cut to stay in New Orleans.
